Taiga Colors Values
We want to bring happiness into people's lives with products with a long lifespan.
We appreciate Finnish work and we are a member of the Association for Finnish Work (Suomalaisen työn liitto). Their "Design from Finland" brand committee has accredited Taiga Colors with the “Design from Finland” mark in appreciation for commendable Finnish design. In addition, Taiga Colors is entitled to the “Key Flag - Avainlippu” designating Finnish work.
We value sexual, ethnic, racial, religious and spiritual diversity. That's why Taiga Colors is also a member of the We Speak Gay Community.
The founder of Taiga Colors is photographer and designer Jutta Kuure. Jutta has always loved colors. As a small girl her best friends were felt pens and a kaleidoscope. The most beautiful colors are provided by the nature. That Jutta discovered on her second trip to Borneo rainforests 2007. In December 2011 Borneo Colors was born.
In 2014 Jutta found inspiration for the patterns around her own environment, namely Finnish nature and urban Helsinki, and a new brand Taiga Colors came to live. She ran a successful crowd-funding campaign for the new collection and in December 2014 Taiga Colors Helsinki Store was opened.
Jutta speaks with her customers in Finnish, English, Swedish, Japanese, French, Dutch and German and she starts her day by taking a dip in to the Baltic sea every morning throughout the year. And yes, it can be -20 degrees of Celsius during wintertime in Helsinki. Follow Taiga Colors World in social media and you can follow her activities as well.
